ISO variants explained
TGG Debian is provided in two ISO variants:
• Refresh ISOs include newer components from Debian backports, such as the Linux kernel, Mesa/Vulkan, and firmware. These ISOs are optimized for modern hardware and desktop usage with a single desktop environment installed.
• Standard ISOs (without “Refresh” in the filename) do not include any preinstalled backports packages, though backports remain enabled after installation. This makes the standard ISOs suitable if you want to install multiple desktop environments on the same system.
In short:
• Refresh ISOs → modern hardware, single desktop setup
• Standard ISOs → maximum flexibility, multiple desktops possible
